DR. LOREN BORUD, Surgeon and Researcher

Dr. Loren Borud is a surgeon with decades of experience in the medical sector. The Stanford and Harvard trained doctor has gone on to earn an MBA from Northwestern University- Kellogg School of Management. He had a humble background and was born and raised in North Dakota, where he studied until High school level. After graduation from Harvard Medical School, Dr. Borud enrolled for a 5-year residency in General Surgery at UCLA. Dr. Borud also worked in Los Angeles VA Hospital and Olive View Medical Center.

Dr. Loren Borud has had intense training in Plastic Surgery and especially in the area of Hand Microsurgery. He got his medical board certification from the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Borud has worked as a surgeon at both Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. As well as working as an attending plastic surgeon, he was also an Assistant professor in the school.  From 2004 to 2008, Dr Borud acted as a key opinion leader and consultant in Ethicon, Inc. He worked as a fellow in Hand and Micro vascular Surgery

In New York University and Mount Sinai Medical centre, he founded a program that was geared toward helping people who had gone through massive weight loss. The program came up with ways to contour the body and received international and national recognition. It was hailed as an important milestone in the world of plastic surgery.

 

With his impressive credentials and wide medical background and knowledge, Dr. Borud has earned his rightful place as a member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons as well as the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is also an author who has written a book that is aimed at giving the readers an insight into the world of plastic surgery. In 2008, Dr. Loren Borud founded Borud Consulting. He works mainly with companies that manufacture surgical products and other medical and biotechnology devices. He acts as a consultant in the areas of innovation, web design and product development marketing. He uses the experience he has gained during the years to help the companies come up with the most useful and innovative products.
